Why Most Body Wash Is Mostly Water

Blavami product concept

A founder note

Why Most Body Wash Is Mostly Water is part of the reason Blavami exists. I keep coming back to the same product tension: the shower is intimate and sensory, but the category often feels disposable. A premium body wash should not feel like an afterthought, and a lower-waste routine should not feel like a compromise.

Blavami is my attempt to build something warmer and more intentional. Barcelona gives the brand its Mediterranean blue, architectural calm, and ritual sensibility. Miami adds heat, optimism, movement, and sun. Together, they create the phrase that guides the work: Barcelona meets Miami. A cleaner shower ritual.

On the product side, the challenge is real. Powdered body wash must disperse easily. It has to spread well. Lather alone is not enough. Too much gum can feel sticky, and too little structure can feel thin. The reusable bottle has to be beautiful enough to keep, because reuse only works when the object earns a place in the routine.

Before launch, we are testing texture, fragrance direction, bottle experience, travel use, gym-bag practicality, and the language we use to describe the format. We will keep the claims careful: designed to reduce water weight, intended to reduce single-use plastic, lower-waste, and less water shipped.
